I might have to explain what the Dundies are before I continue. It’s from The Office, and basically its a really lame company awards ceremony that nobody really cares about. Like the Emmys, but the Dundies because the company is called Dunder Mifflin. They hand out really corny but funny and personalised awards like ‘Sassiest Indian’ or ‘Longest engagement’ and ‘Hottest in the Office’.

We had the party at Strike Bowling Bar, and were just enjoying ourselves on the free alcohol and unlimited bowling. Turns out I’m really bad at bowling but so was everybody else. So half way through, our boss starts doing his usual boss-speech, thanking everyone for coming, and hoping everybody has a good time. Then he pulls out these certificates and starts presenting these awards to us. It was hilairious because everybody had their own ‘moment’. As you can imagine, it was extremely cheesy. Here were some of the awards:

• The Bank Teller Award (for always breaking the registers with an excessive amount of change)
• The Potato Quality Assurance Award (for always testing the quality of the chips before they reach the customer’s table)
• The Plate Juggling Award (for being able to carry the most plates)
• The Bollywood Award (for always playing Bollywood themed music throughout the building)
• The Flirt Award (self-explanatory)
• The Weight Watchers Award (for always commenting on customer’s poor menu choices)
• The Blasian Award (for this Asian girl who acts really ghetto)
• The Spelling and Grammar Award (for always writing up things on the noticeboard incorrectly)
• The Refund Whore Award (for never saying no to refunds)

And lots more, I just can’t remember them all. Yes, as you can see, very lame and inside-jokey. I ended up with the Funky Hair Award, for my ‘extreme seasonal hairstyles’. I think it was because I cut all my hair off last year and dyed it after that. I guess I have to do more crazy things to it now. I would scan the Award and post it here, but we went to another pub afterwards and I think I lost it somewhere there. Oh wells.
